Here are MS/HS meal plans for next week, Sept 14th. If you can participate, please do so. Every meal matters! You can also join the remind group Red Devil Delivery for updates. I have already added your parent if you turned in a delivery request. They need to accept this to receive updates!

Here is the plan:


Delivery:

* Monday - If you signed up to receive breakfast and lunch delivery the school car will start delivering from 10 - 11:30. Mrs. England will be delivering. Please watch for her and either you or a parent meet her out at the car to receive meals.


* Tuesday through Friday - The morning bus will be delivering meals as they are on the route. The bus drivers cannot leave the bus. YOU or a parent must be outside waiting for pickup. The bus drivers will not wait because they have to get the elementary students to school on time. 


Delivery will include breakfast and lunch. You may need to heat/reheat food. If you don't eat it right away it can be stored in the freezer or refrigerator. If there was a toddler listed on the delivery form, you will get a meal for that sibling as well. If you miss the bus you can come pick up the meal at the school during the pick up time. 


Pick-up To-go:

  If you did not sign up for meals you still have the option to pick up meals from 12:00 - 12:30 in your car. Pick up will be in front of the high school main doors.

NEWS UPDATE 


September 4, 2020


USDA has recently approved funding to feed ALL children at no cost through December, or until funding is exhausted. After that time we plan to return to the school lunch program and students will go back to their approved lunch status.


Starting September 8, 2020 Murtaugh School District will be providing a FREE breakfast and lunch to ALL students. If the student wishes to have a second meal they will be charged at full price, regardless of free/reduced status. 


For children ages 1-4, online students, individuals ages 19-21 with physical or mental disability, or anyone 1-18 not in school, a to-go lunch will be provided for FREE. The designated pick up area will be on the south side of the old elementary from 11:00-11:30, Tuesday-Thursday. Please stay in your vehicle to practice social distancing. Preschool students will be given a to-go lunch at this time. 


If there are any school closures, we will operate on school days. Pick up will be from 11:30 until 12:30 in front of the new elementary. We will also run deliveries on bus routes for those unable to drive in every day. More information will come if we anticipate a closure.  


Even though students will have access to free meals we will still be able to accept free and reduced applications. We use this percentage for breakfast/lunch programs, Title 1, and other funding. Households only need to apply once per year, unless financial circumstances change. Please apply online at www.family.titank12.com or ask the office for a paper copy. Both resources are available in English and Spanish. Also, please make sure your account does not have an outstanding balance. 


We love providing meals to your children and hope this will help relieve any burdens. We want you to be assured that your child's health and safety is our top priority.
