Devon Andersen Memorial Scholarship-This $300 scholarship is given annually to a Murtaugh High School graduating senior who demonstrates the importance of education, citizenship, sportsmanship, and athletics during their high school years.  Applicants will need to write an essay describing their participation in the above mentioned.  Essays must be returned to Mrs. Draves in the counseling office by 3:30 p.m. on Friday, March 31, 2017.


Ed Uhlig Memorial Scholarship-This $500 scholarship is given annually to a Murtaugh graduating senior who plans to further their education and has financial need, demonstrate leadership qualities and has/had participated in agricultural programs.  Applicants must submit an essay describing their participation in the above mentioned.  All essays must be returned to Mrs. Draves in the counseling office by 3:30 p.m. on Friday, March 31, 2017.


Capps Elementary Scholarship-This $500 scholarship will be awarded to a graduating senior who will register and attend a post-secondary college/school  and demonstrates the importance of education and leadership.  The applicant must have attended Murtaugh Elementary for at least one full year.  Applicants need to submit a one page essay describing the advantages they experienced attending a small school.  All essays must be returned to Mrs. Draves in the counseling office by 3:30 p.m. on Friday, March 31, 2017.


Elmer and Ester Graff Memorial Scholarship-This $1,000 scholarship will be given each year to a graduating Murtaugh senior who will further their education by going into a trade program.  Applications are currently available in the counseling office.  The application window is from February 14- March 18, 2017.  Applications need to be returned to [email protected].


Tuite Law DUI Accident Scholarship-Tuite Law, Attorneys in Rockford, Illinois, are pleased to offer the Tuite Law DUI Accident Scholarship. The Scholarship is open nationwide to those who will be attending college fall semester of 2017. Special consideration will be given to an undergraduate who is interested in pursuing a career in Law, but anyone meeting the requirements will be considered. Applicant must have been affected by a DUI accident or know someone who has been.


This Award will be presented to a current college students or high school senior who will be attending college Fall of 2017. The award will be presented to a currently enrolled college student or High School Senior who will not have graduated college by fall semester of 2017 & is still attending courses at that time. This will be a one-time award.

The Scholarship will be judged on merit and need. Academic achievements as well as any leadership experiences will be taken into account.

Requirements:

  • This scholarship is judged & awarded primarily on merit & need.

  • Completed application must be submitted online by May 31, 2017. LATE APPLICATIONS WILL NOT BE CONSIDERED.

  • INCOMPLETE APPLICATIONS WILL NOT BE CONSIDERED.

  • Applicant must plan to attend college by fall semester 2017.

  • Must have a minimum G.P.A. of 3.0.

  • A transcript must be attached for application for consideration.

  • Applicant must submit an un-opened copy of official transcripts if selected as a finalist.

  • This scholarship is a one-time award worth $750 to be awarded the fall semester of 2017.

  • Although not required, applicants are encouraged to submit recommendation letters and/or resumes to substantiate their application.

  • Applicant will be required to demonstrate both their merit and their need for this scholarship


Twin Falls County Prosecuting Attorney Drug Free Student Scholarship-Students graduating in the upcoming spring from any high school in Twin Falls County are eligible to apply.  The applicant must be a Twin Falls County resident at the time of the application, must attend the College of Southern Idaho full-time for the upcoming academic year, and must be enrolled in either an academic or a vocational education program leading towards a degree or certification.  Students related within the first degree to any employee of the Prosecuting Attorney’s Office may not apply.


1st place winner will receive one year (two semesters) full-tuition scholarship for the upcoming academic year to the College of Southern Idaho.

2nd and 3rd place winners will receive one semester full-tuition scholarship to the College of Southern Idaho.

Other finalists may receive $200 towards their College of Southern Idaho tuition


Application requirements:


  • A completed application form (see Mrs. Draves in the Counseling Office)

  • An essay of not more than 1000 words, typed, double-spaced, and 12 point font-”What can be done to reduce the use and sale of illegal drugs in Twin Falls County?”

  • Must include official transcript from your high school and any colleges you have received credit from.

  • Two sealed letters of recommendation from individuals not related to you, one of whom must be a teacher, counselor, or administrator from your high school

  • A copy of your resume, which includes school and community involvement, honors and awards, leadership positions and volunteer activities

  • A signed Drug and Alcohol Free Pledge (see Mrs. Draves in the Counseling Office)


Selected finalists will be required to give a 5-minute presentation related to their essay to the scholarship committee at a time and date to be announced later.  The application deadline is March 1, 2017.


Scholars Day at C.S.I.-Scholars Day will be held on March 2, 2017 from 9:00-2:30.  If you would like to attend, fill out the “Register Now” form at www.csi.edu/admissions/ScholarsDay.  Space is limited to the first 50 people who RSVP and qualify.  You will be notified by email if you qualify.  Applicants must have a 3.5 GPA.  Free lunch!  For additional information, call the Admissions office at 208-732-6221 or email [email protected].


Veterinarian Science Scholarship-Applicants for this $500 scholarship award must be attending college by the Fall 2017 semester.  Applicants must have a 3.0 GPA or higher and plan to major in a field related to veterinary science.   The scholarship will be judged on merit and need.  Academic achievements as well as any leadership experiences will also be taken into account.  Only online applications will be accepted.  The application can be found toward the bottom of the page at http://petsinthecitystpete.com/#scholarship-application.  The application deadline is July 31, 2017.


Far West Agribusiness Association Scholarship-Far West Agribusiness Association represents approximately 120 Agribusiness members within Washington, Idaho, Oregon, Utah, and Nevada, who collectively employ over 10,000 individuals.  As a way of supporting those who are interested in the Ag. industry, we are providing a competitive opportunity for both college entry and existing college students at 2- and 4-year colleges within the aforementioned states.  Information related to the application, criteria, and deadlines are accessible through our website at www.fwaa.org.  See Mrs. Draves in the counseling office for an application.  Deadline is March 31, 2017 by 5:00 p.m.

The Geneseo Migrant Center administers a variety of scholarships, linked below, to offer financial assistance to migrant students who want to further their education.

The Print and Graphics Scholarship Foundation (PGSF) is a not-for-profit, private, industry-directed organization that dispenses undergraduate college scholarships and graduate fellowship assistance to talented men and women interested in graphic communication careers. The mission of the PGSF is “To strengthen the print and graphic communication industry by providing scholarship assistance.”

Housed under the same roof as Printing Industries of America, the Print and Graphics Scholarship Foundation has coordinated the printing industry’s largest scholarship program since its inception in 1956.

Individuals, companies, and associations provide both annual and endowed scholarship funds to PGSF, which administers the scholarship and fellowship programs for the industry.

Society of Women Engineers Scholarship Program-SWE Scholarships support women pursuing ABET-accredited bachelor or graduate student programs in preparation for careers in engineering, engineering technology and computer science in the United States. In 2016, SWE disbursed approximately 230 new and renewed scholarships valued at more than $750,000.

  • Each fall, Jeannette Rankin Women's Scholarship Fund awards scholarships to low-income women, ages 35 and older, who have a vision of how a college education will benefit themselves, their families and their communities. The scholarships are open to students pursuing a technical or vocational education, an associate's degree or a first bachelor's degree. Applicants must be U.S. citizens or permanent residents.

Diabetes Scholar Foundation-

The Diabetes Scholars Foundation’s college scholarship program is available to incoming freshmen with type 1 diabetes and who are US citizens or permanent residents seeking a higher education at an accredited four year university, college, technical or trade school. This scholarship recognizes students who have high academic performance, are actively involved in the diabetes community, participate in community and/or extra-curricular activities and who have demonstrated that they are successfully managing the challenges of living with diabetes. Diabetes Scholars Foundation scholarships are not based on financial need.

Eligibility:

  • High School Seniors with Type 1 diabetes seeking a higher education at an accredited four year university, college, technical or trade school.
  • U.S. citizen or permanent resident.

CSI Music Fest 2017-This year's event will be held on the College of Southern Idaho campus, June 12-16, 2017.  Students ages 12-18 may attend.  Students will declare a "major" for the camp, and several classes are devoted to that  "major".  The camp will run from 9:00 AM-4:00 PM each day with a Friday evening concert.  The basic cost of the camp is $225.  If you apply before March 15, 2017 you will receive the early bird discount -$195 tuition.  Tuition and fees are due with registration.

Students of Integrity Scholarship-For information re: this scholarship, go to:  http://www.bbb.org/northwest/charities-donors/about-us/bbb-foundation/current-scholarship-campaign/2016-17_Scholarship.  Applicants must be juniors/seniors with at least a 3.25 GPA.  The meat of the scholarship is a 90 second YouTube video about how the Better Business Bureau helps people become smart consumers.  They can simply shoot the video on their cell phones and tell us a story about online fraud, fake online customer reviews, how to check out a charity before making a donation, or any other topic they choose to cover.  The BBB will be giving away $10,000 which can be spent at the post-high school college of your choice.  February 13, 2017 deadline.
